How to Keep Safe During Black Friday Sales
Most stores, both big and small offer some version of Black Friday sales. However, with concerns about mass transmission of the COVID-19 this year, it remains to be seen how the institution of Black Friday will pan out.
Let’s take a look at what the current plan is for Black Friday and what you need to know.
What Retailers Are Doing for Black Friday 2020
Regulations for stores planning to open depend on state policies, and as we’ve seen during this pandemic, state-level guidelines can shift super quickly. However, Black Friday is still very much on for this year all over the country.
Most large retailers are taking some precautions. For example, Bath and Body Works has announced a weeklong event leading up to Black Friday, including the release of new scents before the sales. Similarly, Bed Bath & Beyond has already started their Black Friday promotions, which will continue to be available up to December 24th.
Some stores, like Target have also made arrangements for increased curbside order pickup.
Safety and Sanitary Advice
However, most stores haven’t been too clear on the extra arrangements they’re making for in-person shopping to minimize security and health risks. That’s why, if you’re going to participate in Black Friday sales, you need to be prepared.
Make sure you’re wearing a mask that won’t come loose and leave your kids and elders at home for the expedition. Since most retailers are letting you preview the deals, they’re offering online, get some pre-shopping done by looking at and making a list of what you want. Keep sanitizer with you and start your shopping as early as possible.
However, as past Black Fridays have shown, there’s a very real threat of danger because of the crowds. Pickpockets and thieves are common in congested locations, which is why you should try to shop at stores with proper security. Keep your cards or cash secure and close to your body as well.
However, with all of the measures to keep crowds to a minimum, you should be able to emerge from Black Friday sales unscathed with some good deals.
Shop Online Instead
Of course, in today’s age it makes sense that shopping online is the best way to go. In recent times, the popularity of online shopping has led Cyber Monday to emerge, but now that Black Friday deals are available across weeks and months, it all seems to be part of holiday shopping season now.
Many stores, such as Pinky’s Iron Doors have been providing online shopping platforms for a while now. The California-based wrought iron entry door and black steel door provider has vowed to announce a massive sale on their steel sliding doors, iron French doors, pocket steel doors, factory-style steel doors and black steel windows.
